As a client your safety is of the utmost importance however all outdoor activities carry some degree of risk. Where absolutely possible those risks which are present will be avoided or mitigated against, it is vital that clients obey any instructions given in relation to their safety. Hill walking is a physically demanding activity and before booking on to an event it is important that you are physically fit and well enough to complete the planned walk.
Extremes of weather may cause cancellation or alteration to planned events. In the event of a cancellation due to weather a full refund or transfer to an event on a different date will be offered. Where weather does not impact the safety of an event the event will proceed.
A list of personal equipment each client is expected to carry is provided, if a client is under-prepared this may result in their being refused participation in the event with no refund given. It is mandatory that all participants wear footwear suitable for the walk and prevailing conditions.
Military aircraft crash sites are “Protected Places” as defined by the Protection of Military Remains Act 1986, it is an offence to interfere with or remove any remains without the permission of the Ministry of Defence. We require all clients to treat all the crash sites they visit with the utmost respect.
Clients may bring dogs on our walks with prior agreement, if the client brings a dog(s) the client is solely responsible for the dog which must remain under control at all times. On occasion some areas have protection orders in place prohibiting dogs from the area, should this be the case then no dogs will be permitted on that particular occasion.
